Peter Field Games Design Lecture

One of our ex-students, Peter Field,
(now working at Ninja Theory in Cambridge,) spent a day with students on the Games Design course recently. It was an incite for us all to hear his lecture on Games Design as he described his experience in industry, showed examples of the work process and talked about the reality of working in a contemporary games design studio.
It's been a real pleasure this semester to see several of our ex-students reaching positions of responsibility in the Games Industry and seeing the level of professionalism that they have achieved. This is all so encouraging for the students as they prepare for a future career in games.

Visit from Lead Artist at TT Fusion, "Mooney"

We were really lucky to have Lead Artist at TT Fusion, "Mooney" visit our Uclan Games Design course this Semester. "Mooney" spent a full day with students giving a workshop on character design and digital painting. The students reported that they found his advice informative and inspiring.
Thanks to his advice the digital painting output has certainly increased and students are practising their Photoshop skills with the digital drawing tablet more and more.
